| Mr. Taaffe is responsible for leading the company. Following graduation from Florida State University
and a career in education, Mr. Taaffe had an extensive national career in commercial real estate from
1972 through the early 1990s. This included all functional aspects of the industry: identification,
evaluation, negotiation, due diligence, acquisitions, and regional management for SEC registered
partnerships in diversified portfolios of income producing properties throughout the United States
(portfolio values $10-$85 million) and a pooled real estate investment for America’s largest public
employee pension funds, corporate pension funds, trusts and foundations (minimum investment of $1
million). Mr. Taaffe has been an owner-operator of nationally franchised academic learning centers,
and has operated smaller real estate and educational businesses. Since assisting in the formation of
TMI Laboratories in 2001, he has committed his full energy to leadership of that company: planning,
operations, business development, technology licensing, directing legal, patent, and accounting
activities. Mr. Taaffe is located in Marietta (Atlanta) Georgia.
